Another Panto!

So one of my birthday presents was a ticket to see Peter Pan in the Gaeity Theatre. As you know, I have a deep love for the classic tale.
I have wanted to see some kind of version of Peter Pan since I watched "Peter Pan Live"online. I had my eye on this pantomime for a while but I was told by my parents that they were sold out and quite difficult to get so I had no idea that I was going to get the tickets on my Birhtday.
My family was doing so well at keeping the secret from me ... that was until the tickets had to be printed.
My Mom had gotten a new laptop for Christmas so she bought the tickets online so that she could do it herself so I wouldn't know about them... then they had to be printed.
My Mom completely forgot that her new laptop didn't have the printer software on it yet therefore she couldn't print from the laptop.
She asked my little sister for help but she couldn't figure out the problem so my Mom, reluctantly, asked me for help.
I figured out the problem and came up with a solution. I got her to email me then information so that I could print the tickets from my laptop. At this point I still didn't know what I was printing, I thought it was the tickets to Bermingham for my Dad and Brother.
So I logged onto my laptop and found the email and surely enough... It ws the tickets to the Peter Pan Pantomime in the Gaeity Theatre. I had nothing to say so I just screamed from excitement and ran to my parents to hug them.;
I then printed five tickets for my mom, my dad, my sister, my brother and I to go see Peter Pan.

The wait was sooooooooo looooonnnnggggg but when it did come along I was losing my mind with the excitement! I got all dressed up and we left extra early so I knew I woudn't miss a thing !
THE SHOW WAS AMAZING !!! The acting was fenominal and the costumes and make-up were just "on-point".

It was so overwhelming to see my favourite story being brought to life infront of my own eyes.
The show was so funny ! Nana, originally the dog that is also the Darling's Nannie, was played my a man in drag named Joe Conlon who was celebrating 25 years of being in Pantos. Peter was played my none other than Johnny Ward, Who you'll know was Pauley from Love/Hate.

The dancers were brilliant and the pirates always had me laughing :D
The stage sets were so realistic and so simple so they didn't distract from the actors. It was very interactive! At one point there are dancing mermaids while Peter is at Mermaid LAgoon and on both sides of the theatre GIANT blow up tentacles come out from each side of the boxes in the audience and fall down from the sides!!! They were moving around !!! It looked like there was a giant octopus inn the theatre !!!

After a big build up to this show, I have to admit that it was better than I could have ever imagined <3 The only thing I would change would be... MAKE IT LONGER !!! :P
